i. Configurator (Frame Layout Tool)
With the Miranda Configurator, you will be able to quickly and easily design your Densité frame to your precise needs using a comprehensive web application. It is also very good reference tool to get the information on a specific Densité module and its available rears, the block diagram, the specification and the ordering information.

When you are ready to design your Densité frame, a list of all available Densité series modules will appear and you will be able to drag-and-drop the selected module and its rear to your frame. The configuration rules or constraints are used to determine which rears and options can be used together on which modules, and ensure that your Densité frame is properly des

ii. Densite 2 Frame (20 multi-format modules in 2RU)

The 2RU Densité 2 frame offers multi-format operation, with the ability to process simultaneously 3Gbps, HD, SD, and analog video, as well as AES and analog audio. The frame can be fitted with 2RU Densité modules, and provides advanced monitoring and back-up capabilities. The front opening frame features dual hot-swappable power supplies (PSUs) and fans. The modules for the frame are also hot swappable, and replacement modules can be configured automatically. The frame is air-cooled and all modules, redundant PSUs and fans are monitored to provide status via GPI or an optional Ethernet port. Front panel multi-color LEDs provide status reporting. The basic frame configuration includes one PSU and a controller card, which allows card adjustments by the front panel.

iii. Densite 3 Frame (20 multi-format modules in 3RU)
The 3RU Densité 3 frame offers true multi-format operation, with the ability to process simultaneously 3Gbps, HD, SD, and analog video, as well as AES and analog audio. The frame provides advanced monitoring and back-up capabilities. It can be fitted with 3RU and 2RU Densité modules (using card extenders). The frame features dual hot-swappable power supplies and fans. The modules for the frame are also hot-swappable, and can be configured automatically when a card is replaced. The frame is air-cooled and all modules, redundant PSUs and fans are monitored to provide status via GPI or the Ethernet port. The basic frame configuration includes one PSU and a controller card, which allows card adjustments by the front panel. Front panel multi-color LEDs provide status reporting.

iv. iControl Solo (Stand alone PC-Based Control)

Control Solo is a stand-alone, PC-based control GUI for Densité modules, which is provided as standard with Densité modules. It provides easy ‘tree-based’ control and configuration of up to 100 Densité Series modules, and does not require Miranda’s Application Server. Operators are provided with quick access to devices and parameters for fast and easy control.

More advanced control requirements, demanding simultaneous, multidevice monitoring and error logging can be met with the iControl Web and iControl PM applications

b. Frame Options

i. MSB-1121

Multi-format monitoring router for Densité frame
The MSB-1121 Monitoring Switching Bridge (MSB) greatly extends the functionality of the Densité Series by providing a scalable and cost-effective way of monitoring the video and audio outputs of modules without using external connection per module. The MSB supports a wide range of Densité Series distribution amplifiers, embedders / de-embedders, audio and video converters, fiber optic converters and monitoring probes. All cards showing the MSB compatible logo in the ordering information are supported by the MSB.

When installed in slot 20 of a Densité frame, the MSB allows users to select the output of audio or video modules in the frame, and route them to a common SDI monitoring output. The MSB-1121 supports cards of any format by performing the required audio and video conversion to normalize the signal prior to the output. The MSB-1121 supports Analog, Digital or embedded audio, and allows either audio follow video (AFV) or breakaway switching operation.
